It Can Shatter Your Certainties
In my choices for our Great Works List, I feel I have somewhat slighted the French. That is probably because I’m an English speaker and the French are garlic-eating surrender monkeys. But if ever there was a work of art that proved art is greater than politics, it was a work created by a Frenchman.
