Professional dingus and contemptible race huckster Robin DiAngelo has revealed—if it needed revealing—that she is not only smarmy and conniving but also painfully ignorant. In an interview, DiAngelo mistook the figure of Adam on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel for King David.
I doubt this bothered Michelangelo much, since I hear he’s moved on to other projects such as blazoning God’s own heavenly palaces with shining frescoes of incalculable glory. But those of us who still have to suffer the carping of small-souled midwits like DiAngelo should at least not let it spoil our appreciation of the soaring triumphs achieved by the world’s best artists. And not just Michelangelo, either: the Vatican museums are teeming with works by the greats from down the ages. In particular there’s one series of paintings that ranks, for me, among the ageless masterworks of man.
