Question about the Livestream: Will it be available to watch after the fact? I can’t watch it in real time because of work but really want a double dose of Klavan wisdom!
I read through your analysis though I think it’s incorrect to interpret the Hebrew word “nasa,” used for beguiled, as a sexual implication. It is more likely, according to the context, that this word meant “to deceive.” This leads one to believe that Satan is the father of Cain, as stated in your link. Thank you for sharing this with me, nonetheless.
I'd love a hard copy of these letters. You should publish a book of them every 100 exchanges.

Great letter as always, by the way.
Hmmm, Adam and Eve covered their privates with fig leaves.
Hi Mona. I don't see why that's out of keeping with Aquinas' interpretation. Which I believe was also Augustine's.
Why would one feel corrupted for having sex with their mate? They wouldn't.
They would however feel corrupted if they had sex with Satan, the devil, the serpent, the trickster--who "beguiled"(wholly seduced) Eve.
Are you suggesting that the Genesis account illustrates a sexual encounter between Satan and Eve?
