I just watched Knowles’ Dante lecture.

And I respect the logic of it, but it makes Christianity too historical for me.

I think more like how you Klavan’s have been writing, centralizing generosity, charity, love, and the soul.

And you’re right; it is a fair way to go into a trans human era.

Please eat your probiotics and polyphenols my friend because it is nice to have a good writer that’s actually alive.

Reminds me of a quote -"The Lord works from the inside out. The world works from the outside in. The world would take people out of the slums. Christ takes the slums out of people, and then they take themselves out of the slums. The world would mold men by changing their environment. Christ changes men, who then change their environment. The world would shape human behavior, but Christ can change human nature." ET Benson

Of course it’s Jesus who is the rock of our salvation. We can not do diddly squat to save ourselves, save we submit to His will and keep His commandments. Hearts have to change one by one under the influence of the Holy One . We can live on a higher moral plane together and change the world yoked to Him. The truth is out there you just have to know where to find it ( not X files or X, hint). Prophets and Apostles are on the earth eager to teach us and lead us to celestial glory. Are we willing to do things His way?

Andrew always says things in a way that makes me feel like he is reading my heart. When I found the church that I am going to now, what impressed me was how people acted - selflessly - they weren't perfect, but their spirit was different. They were living out what the bible said. The sermons were about following the Word of God to make ME a better person, so I could be a light and serve those in need. I prayed and prayed and my husband finally attendend the church. This has made our marriage better because God is always part of what we do. I know we need to be brave in this crazy world, but when I keep my eyes on Jesus, I don't worry about what others think or what will happen here on earth, because I know the future is very bright.
