As a writer, a journalist-this piece too awakens something in me. Madeline L'Engle put it best for me: "I who live by words, am wordless when I try my words in prayer. All language turns to silence..."
Romans 8:26 -- Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
sending you off on a poetry quest to look at Mary Wroth's "corona" of sonnets ("A Crown of Sonnets Dedicated to Love")...not necessarily for her skill so much as the corona aspect. I'll leave it at that for you to enjoy as you read
I always find myself understanding the Snr better than the Jnr. I have a feeling that Snr, like myself, would always attempt to fix things with a hammer first, rather than a screwdriver.
Reminds me of Romans 1 - evidence of God's power and handiwork are observable all the time and everywhere. Choosing to ignore His story engraved on Creation is perilous.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made” John 1:1-3.
Exile and return. The story of the human response to its Source, the very Source of Life. A very unique response, as it is the only one that is a free response, a lifelong series of choices that brings us Home again.

“The stories are true! I swear to you! I swear on everything I adore.” Wendy Darling (as portrayed by Maggie Smith in Hook)
(My apologies for such a highbrow reference—I just couldn’t help myself.)
God speaks and things happen!
Yes. Pretty clearly stated, right here:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made” John 1:1-3.
Yes! "His course is one eternal round." When I study, I look for patterns, principles and counterfeits. Like you said they are everywhere!
Ah, but which story is true? And how shall I know it?

Exile and return. Our separation from our very Source of life, and then our return. The story of the truly human response to our very source of life.
