Dare I say that Heavenly Father wants us to receive more and more of heaven on earth as we live the Gospel of His Son. More joy in our redemption, more joy in our posterity, more joy in service, more joy in the glad tidings of the Atonement of Christ. We were made for joy but in this life our joy is not full. Eternal life is a gift to desperately long for, live worth of and desire with all our heart. And in the mean time, the in between time, we live, we love, we laugh and keep the flame of faith burning brightly. Peace to all you followers of Christ, children of light.
I think we yearn for Heaven, but only know Earth. We know no other way, but our humanity on this Earth. However, sans the alcoholism, we could all try to be Elwood P. Dowd, finding beauty and friendship in everyone, everywhere. Even if we don’t have a 6’3-1/4” pooka. I think, in that way, we can find a piece of Heaven everywhere, in everyone we meet.
That Jesus, as God incarnate, experienced earthly existence as a perfect human, fuels my hope for transformation to a higher being with all those perfect attributes that will allow me to fully appreciate God's kingdom, however and whenever it comes. My imperfection burdens me, a cross to bear daily; while the Holy Spirit fortifies me with His fruit.
Thus human freedom — on natural, moral, and spiritual levels.
Love needs to be conjoined with those it loves.
Thus heaven — a heaven from the human race.

The whole of the history of the human race has been the story of God‘s creation and presence with mankind, and mankind‘s response to God, a stimulus and response that has been developing from the sweet innocence of the human race in its infancy in the Garden of Eden, through the ages of Noah and his descendants, then the very externally oriented age of the Israelitish church.
Exile and return, over and over again. Just like us.
And then, as prophesied throughout the Old Testament, but especially in the later prophets, human freedom had almost reached the point of no return, and then it was time for the Lord Himself to be born here among us, and show us The Way. His life here among us became the ultimate Story of human life, the story of death and resurrection, of Exile and Return.

Yes, urgently--"I believe! Lord, help my unbelief..."

Don’t you think so, Harvey? 🐰🤔
It is in the tension that all truth resides . I love these thought provoking letters.

God is Love Itself.
Love needs to love something outside of itself.
Thus His Creation and the human race.
Love needs to be loved freely in return.
Thus human freedom — on natural, moral, and spiritual levels.
Love needs to be conjoined with those it loves.
Thus heaven — a heaven from the human race.

He showed us how. And our hearts burn within us.
You just hit on so much that I have been thinking…without the eloquence. Wow!!! So much to meditate over!
I thought he said it quite eloquently to be fair.
She was saying that her thoughts are not as eloquent as Spencer’s.
I got that. I was being mildly facetious.
This is deep.
