"The religious urge the people to hatred. The hateful urge the government to violence. The government washes its hands of responsibility. The truth is crucified."

So profound.

"One of the more pitiful taunts the Jew-haters hurl at me is that I’ve been “ratioed.” Fortunately, I’m too old to consistently remember what that means, but I think it has something to do with the fact that some of my X posts aren’t popular. It’s pitiful because the same skewed, shallow, ignorant values that lead a man to Jew-hatred also lead him to believe you can judge another’s words by the number of people who like them. There are, after all, more fools than wise men in the world, as my old friend Socrates used to say."

It appears Candace is looking for more limelight.

Funny. I'm just reading through some of the hundreds of comments on Jeremy Boering leaving his CEO position. Some of the comments are scathing. I really don't understand what these people get out of coming over to DW just to shit post. I mean get a life. And yes, let's pray for Candace. Lord knows she needs it.

1. Trying to validate their life? 2. Jealous of those who are successful?

I became a premium subscriber at DW when Steven Crowder went to war with DW (and Dennis Prager, Glenn Beck "Stop The Con"). Money very well spent.

Candace has her following, and she plays to it, gives them what they want.

It’s a shame because she seemed very sincere around the early childhood stuff. I think she genuinely believes what she’s peddling. Don’t underestimate the power of conspiracy theories on people who have good pattern recognition. I’ve seen marriages end because one party went crazy.

Dark place or simply awash in pregnancy hormones and little kids. Seriously, those years are a little vulnerable and probably not the best time to go around picking fights as everything tends to get a bit magnified/blown out of proportion.

Your comment is all I really know about this specific kerfuffle, so I'll go back to being mostly being blissfully ignorant. However, I do find the way that some people use the term CTK - meant to insult, as quite offensive.

Yes, I am primarily thinking that Candace's very loud wrongheadedness is hormones from babies. I stopped watching her show on DW a couple weeks before she was fired. She was terrifying, some of the things she was saying. I pray that her head gets screwed on straight again. Maybe her husband will help her with it over time...meanwhile I just avoid her stuff, cos my heart breaks when I read it.

It makes me so sad when I hear someone who claims to be a Christian make antisemitic remarks, discreet ones, almost camouflaged in some ways, but clearly demonstrating a hatred of the Jewish people. It's like they've disregarded Old Testament completely. God stated to Abraham - "I will bless them that bless you and curse them that curse you." It couldn't be any simpler than that. Additionally, please, people, don't say "Christ is King" unless you follow with "AND He's Jewish."

This is how I feel. Despite my four monthly listeners on Spotify, I'm basically a one man Beatles. At least I think I am.

Klavan pere. I’m a big fan and I follow you, especially on Friday evening. I also buy your books and read them. You are a good writer and someone who understands creativity. Bravo. But sometimes he “protesteth too much” about readership. What you are doing matters. Sometimes you can inspire by dialing back the self-advertising. Love your mind.

Really? I enjoy a good bit of shameless self promotion. After all, who else is going to do it? Here's to shameless self promotion.

This letter made me think of Pilate, one of the preeminent seekers of “likes” and his appeasement of the mob. He certainly is remembered.

To be fair to him I don’t think failure was well tolerated by the Romans. I’m not sure I would have been much better in his position. But then I would never seek his position. I’m happy being a foot soldier.
