I'm interested in both of your Christian conversion experiences.
Andrew, my understanding is that you converted to Christianity when you were 49, so after Spencer was born. So was Spencer raised as a Christian, and if so, to what extent?
More broadly, how do you think that coming to Christianity as an older adult (Andrew) or being exposed to Christianity at an earlier age (Spencer) contributes to your different understandings of what it is to be Christian?
Andrew, how do you feel your culturally Jewish background influences your understanding of Christian scripture, if at all?
You should definitely get Andrew's book, The Great Good Thing. It chronicles Andrew's conversion along with other very interesting details of his life. I found it extremely hard to put down.
Thanks! I'm just reading The Truth and the Beauty now, and was thinking I'd add The Great Good Thing to my reading list too. So thanks for the vote for that!
What are both of your views on how often and involved God is in the minutiae of our lives? Sometimes in Christian circles people will make statements like “pray and see where God is leading you” or “if you feel called or led.” This will often be concerning a seemingly very small matter like which Bible study class to participate in or whether or not you are “being called” to give. I often feel uncomfortable speaking like this because God hasn’t ever spoken to me directly as I assume He doesn’t speak directly to most. Then I feel awkward in Christian circles because maybe I’m lacking in faith? But when I look back on different areas of my life I see His hand for sure. I often wonder, are all our choices (even the smallest of choices) guided or can they just be coming from our personal preferences and a place of practicality?
Thanks for all you do and your enlightening conversations!
Question for the live stream: did you two have interesting dinner table discussions when Spencer was growing up? If so, did Spencer ever ask an uncomfortable question or one that completely stumped you, Andrew?
Hey Andrew and Spencer. I was talking to my agnostic friend about art. He holds to the view that art is subjective. I told him that our feelings about art are subjective but there is an objective reality that predicates art (my view on this was predicated on C. S. Lewis’ “Abolition of Man,” Ch. 1). He said my claim can’t be proven and can’t be taken seriously. How would you respond to that?
Easy Question: Why would God create such a simulation where a spirit (or a conciousness?) gets created with free will, which needs to go through a confusing life in a flesh outfit and which could potentially end up in hell? Why?
I love that y’all, and the Daily Wire, are very focused on the culture and promoting the creation of new culture and new art. You’re also directly involved in the actual creation of that culture; however, it seems there isn’t much effort in seeking or promoting music that speaks to life and isn’t trashy. It exists mostly in independent artists, but there seems to be no action on the music front to bolster these artists. I know Andrew doesn’t like modern music, but is there any reason y’all and conservative voices don’t address music? The only times music is talked about is when it’s a super trashy pop song, a viral political song attacking the left, or the right trying to “claim” Taylor Swift because she’s normal. Thanks!
Spencer, I've been very entertained by your back-and-forth with your Dad on The New Jerusalem. To the extent that you disagree about things, how much do you think that's a result of your having different perspectives and life experiences (so it's likely you'll always see this differently) and how much do you think it's a result of the fact that he's older than you are and has had more life experiences (so it's likely you'll come around to seeing things his way eventually)?
Andrew, I know how you would answer this already. :)
Loved the question about the music! A new song dropped today from Lake Street Dive called Set Sail that is what we could use more of. We won't hear it on the radio, but thank goodness for modern streaming services to find good music.
Dear Andrew and Spencer, I greatly enjoy the warmth and rapport between the two of you, I frequently feel like an intruder reading your deep, and fun, exchanges. Has it always been that way? Were there any major divisions or disagreements that you had to overcome?

Definitely get the book! That and The Truth & Beauty!
If I may Quote Hobbs (see Calvin & Hobbs) "Will There Be Snacks?"
Will this be available for paid subscribers after the fact if we can't attend live?
Starts trying to think of non infantile questions 🤔

What are your thoughts on the "man vs bear" silliness?

The book of Revelation has always been difficult to comprehend. What is your take on how to read it and what information it's attempting to convey?
Has this started? Where do you go to see the stream?
Never mind. Found the email link…
